BiteSpeed Raises $3.5M, Plans to Accelerate Global Hiring

The company aims to hire across technical roles in addition to marketing and sales.

Bengaluru-based AI and martech platform BiteSpeed is looking to expand across the United States, Europe, Southeast Asia and the Middle East following a $3.5 million funding raise. Peak XV’s Surge led the pre-Series A round. Surge is a Singapore-based venture group that specializes in backing early-stage startups. 

BiteSpeed was founded in 2019 and launched a WhatsApp-based SaaS tool that provides marketing solutions through the communication platform. It can send text reminders when users abandon items in their carts, facilitate customer reviews and provide an omnichannel inbox to manage customer chats and messages through various integrations. The company also uses artificial intelligence to power chatbots that can automatically respond to customer queries 

The company plans to accelerate hiring across technical departments in addition to marketing and sales. In addition to growing in different geographies, The Economic Times of India reports that BiteSpeed also plans to deepen its AI research and develop more e-commerce tools for its platform.
