Microchip Technology Opens Bengaluru Office Amid Hiring Push

The semiconductor supplier plans to house 3,000 employees at its Bengaluru Development Center in the next decade.

Semiconductor company Microchip Technology is expanding its India presence with a new office in Bengaluru. The company will occupy a space spanning 16,000 square meters at the Export Promotion Industrial Park zone in Whitefield. 

Microchip provides development tools and a product portfolio for semiconductors, aiming to support enterprise customers through the design process. The company supplies semiconductors to organizations in sectors including industrial, automotive, consumer, aerospace and defense, communications and computing.

The new facility extends the company’s Bengaluru Development Center, enabling Microchip to house 3,000 employees over the next decade. It is actively expanding its workforce and has future hiring plans. Additionally, Microchip’s new office is meant to encourage collaboration across its global and regional teams, equipping them with the necessary infrastructure for advanced R&D.
