Motive recently announced plans to significantly expand its India-based research and development team. The company leverages AI to help businesses in sectors like transportation, energy and manufacturing manage their physical operations. Motive will grow its team by 300 people over the next two years in engineering, product management, design and senior leadership roles.

The company plans to add more than 20 AI engineers by the end of 2025 and more than 50 AI engineers by the end of 2026. The move furthers Motive’s investment in India’s AI and technology talent market and further cements the country’s role in its global growth strategy.

Motive established its Bengaluru office in 2020 and has since grown its India team to 250 members. This team spearheads AI software development, including automated solutions for collision detection, spend management and fleet management. Motive’s India team will also work to build solutions tailored to challenges and opportunities exclusive to the Indian market.
