This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with global teams, including our US operations, and requires expertise in day-to-day HR administration and strategic HR initiatives. Reporting to the US HR Manager and working closely with the finance and accounting teams, you will independently oversee the entire HR scope for our India operations. This is an in-office role requiring your on-site presence.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute all HR administrative functions, including payroll, new hire onboarding, employee documentation, and personnel records maintenance.
  • Lead the recruitment process, from talent acquisition to onboarding, ensuring that new hires are seamlessly integrated into the team.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws, company policies, and US operational standards, including timekeeping, benefits administration, and employment regulations.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for employees, addressing queries and issues related to HR policies, payroll, and benefits.
  • Manage travel requests, including visa applications, and oversee travel and culture budgets. Ensure that both inbound and outbound travel processes are efficiently managed.
  • Support performance review processes, working closely with team leaders and management to provide feedback and development plans.
  • Foster a positive work culture through engagement initiatives, training programs, and employee recognition, ensuring high morale and retention.
  • Oversee the HR, travel, and culture-related budgets, ensuring that costs are tracked and managed effectively.

Skills & Experience

  • 5-7 years of HR management experience, ideally within a technology company with US operations; a start-up environment is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of HR functions, including payroll, compliance, recruitment, and employee relations.
  • Experience working with US operations or global teams is highly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels.
  • Strong attention to detail, multitasking ability, and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with HR software such as BambooHR, payroll systems, and Google Suite or equivalent.
