About the role:
We are looking for a mid-level accountant with 3-5 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and demonstrate expertise in GST compliance and statutory requirements. Key responsibilities include:

Roles & Responsibilities:
GST Compliance:

• Preparing and filing GST returns in a timely and accurate manner.
• Managing GST invoicing and ensuring compliance with GST laws and regulations.
• Reconciling GST data with financial records and resolving discrepancies.

Statutory Compliance:

• Assisting with statutory audits and ensuring adherence to local compliance requirements.
• Preparing and submitting reports to regulatory authorities as needed.

Accounting and Financial Reporting:

• Recording and maintaining accurate financial transactions.
• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Assisting in budget preparation and expense tracking.
• Reconciling bank statements and ensuring proper cash flow management.

General Ledger Maintenance:

• Maintaining and updating the general ledger with accurate entries.
• Conducting regular account reconciliations and closing processes.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable Management:
• Monitoring and processing vendor payments.
• Managing accounts receivable and ensuring timely collections.

Financial Analysis:

• Analyzing financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas of improvement.
• Supporting management in decision-making with accurate financial insights.

Team Collaboration:

• Coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations and compliance.
• Assisting senior accountants or finance managers in ad hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (Masters or equivalent qualification is preferred).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting and statutory compliance.
• Proficient in GST laws, and other statutory regulations in India.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software and MS Office tools (Excel expertise is a must).
• Experience within Travel Industry is an additional advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with fluency in English and Hindi.
• Proficiency in Kannada is a strong advantage and will be considered a plus.
