Description and Requirements
Summary of Position Responsibilities:
Global Actuarial Modeling team is responsible for delivering actuarial modeling solutions in accordance to enterprise & regional objectives by building robust, scalable actuarial solutions and to further increase the coverage for the use of Prophet & associated tools within the organization, whilst enforcing MetLife's Global Actuarial Modeling Prophet standards and MetLife's Actuarial Practices.
This role is responsible for working within Global Actuarial Modeling (GAM) MIAME Team to develop and deliver Actuarial tools, both upstream and downstream for regional Global Actuarial Modelling Teams. This will involve:
• Collaboration with Regional GAM Teams, Local Actuarial Teams and IT to develop Actuarial tools
• Preparation of technical specifications for developments, based on Regional GAM Team requirements
• Manage the tools through the software development life cycle
• Tool maintenance and enhancement to support evolving requirements of users
• Work within GAM team to produce and deliver tools to support regional GAM Teams
• Produce and periodically update metrics to be consumed by GAM Regional leadership
• IFRS and EEV FX Rates and RDRs update

Principal Accountabilities of Position:
Key Responsibilities:
• Support CFDB: Maintain and manage CFDB to serve evolving GAM customer requirements
o Gather change requirements to CFDB globally
o Manage the development, testing and deployment of all changes to CFDB
o Manage addition of new reporting bases to CFDB
• Support Global Controls Team: Manage and maintain Control Reports across all control points for multiple reporting bases
o Gather change requirements to Control Reports globally
o Manage the development, testing and deployment of all changes to Control Reports
o Manage addition of new reporting bases to Control Reports
• Provide MIAME support to all regions including onboarding of new models
o Manage enhancements to MIAME functionality
o Support all associates with MIAME related queries
• Produce and periodically update metrics to be consumed by GAM Regional leadership
o Manage enhancements to Metrics dashboards
o Monthly update of Metrics dashboards
• IFRS and EEV FX Rates and RDRs update
o Perform quarterly update of IFRS FX Rates
o Perform quarterly update of EEV FX Rates
o Perform annual update of RDRs
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of Position:

  • Gathering requirements from all regions across CFDB, Control Reports and MIAME
  • Documenting these requirements and getting consensus on priorities on the requirements
  • Managing the development, testing and implementation of the requirements
  • Providing support on these tools across all regions
  • Updating FX Rates and RDRs
  • Updating metrics dashboards


Essential Experience, Skills and Competencies:

  • Experience working in cross-geographical projects
  • Advanced MS Office skills
  • Ability to find solutions within agreed timescales
  • Excellent ability to communicate in English, (both written and verbal)
  • Good business acumen
  • Ability to translate Actuarial / Business requirements into IT specifications
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple teams and multiple geographies


Advantageous skills and experience:

  • Knowledge of multiple actuarial reporting bases
  • Exposure to any software development/testing/deployment cycle

• Power BI knowledge
• Alteryx knowledge
• MIAME UI (user knowledge)
• GAM Processes knowledge
