Role: Advanced Specialist, HR Generalist

Description: In this role, you will provide comprehensive end-to-end HR support to a dynamic employee population, working closely with managers and local teams to drive a high-performance, highly engaged culture. This role aligns with industry titles such as Human Resource Business Partner, Senior HR Business Partner, or Lead HR Generalist.

Work Location: Bangalore or Chennai, India (Hybrid)

partnering closely with managers and local teams to foster a culture of high performance and engagement. As the HR Generalist, you will activate people and culture initiatives, support the execution of talent efforts, and serve as the on-the-ground connection for Global HRBPs across Pearson’s diverse businesses. Your work will directly impact on employee experience, team effectiveness, and the successful delivery of HR programs.

You will:
  • Operate as a trusted advisor to managers, leaders and teams to create and sustain a culture of high performance and engagement, tailoring solutions to local needs.

  • Influence HR initiatives that improve employee experience and business outcomes.

  • Build credibility through expertise, sound judgment, and delivery excellence.

  • Activate and deliver people and culture initiatives, ensuring effective communication and participation across the site.

  • Support the execution of talent processes—including performance management, hiring plans, retention, and offboarding  by providing reliable, timely guidance and hands-on support.

  • Resolve complex people challenges with confidence and autonomy, balance speed, accuracy, and compliance.

  • Partner with Country and Global HRBPs to ensure seamless delivery of HR programs and consistent employee experience.
