Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced AI Lead to join Lilly’s MQ Innovation team. The AI Lead will be responsible for developing and implementing AI and automation features. This role requires collaboration with various teams to develop intelligent solutions for business challenges. Passionate to enhance user experience, and acts as an integrator between technology & business.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, and implementation of solutions enabled with AI & automation for manufacturing applications

  • Extensive experience in data science, machine learning, and implementing AI solutions with user-centric designs.

  • Collaborate with Data Science, Architects, Platform, and Cloud teams.

  • Examining data sets to obtain useful insights and support data-driven decisions

  • Continuous monitor and optimize the AI models to maintain their performance and accuracy.

  • Address complex integration challenges, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal disruption to business operations.

  • Provide mentorship and training to junior engineers and team members on fostering innovation through AI and automation.
     

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 9+ years of experience in developing production ready for AI/ML solutions with rich experience in data science, machine learning, AI, LLM, Azure Cloud

  • Strong understanding of data ingestion, transformation, and consumption techniques essential for ML model training.

  • Proficiency in Programming language such as Python, R or Scala and creating robust code

  • Experienced in Machine Learning frameworks & libraries such as Keras, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn etc. and HuggingFace Transformers

  • Experience with LLM (Large Language Model) ecosystem, including lifecycle management such as model training, fine-tuning, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring using:
    Azure: Azure OpenAI, Azure Machine Learning, Prompt Flow, Azure AI Studio, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Cognitive Search, Azure Data Lake, Azure Functions, Azure DevOps for MLOps. 

  • Familiarity with integrating retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, prompt engineering, and orchestrating multi-agent systems with LangChain or Semantic Kernel.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
