What will you do?
- Developing complex Oracle logics for various applications and ETL
- Develop and support complex reports
- Monitoring, maintenance and housekeeping of Oracle batches, jobs, stored procedures, adhoc scripts, packages and Databases,
- Writing and tuning SQL codes and highly customized jobs.
- Assist in database installation, configuration, upgrades and patching for Oracle databases
- Monitor database performance and tune SQL queries, storage and other configurations for optimal performance
- Support of application and upgrade database (Database Migration/ upgrade) from existing Oracle versions to latest Oracle Server versions.
- Implement and enforce database security policies, permissions and access controls
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues to minimize downtime
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with peer DBAs, designers, Business consultants and business to understand technical issues and recommend holistic solutions.
- Should be flexible to support Nightly batch/On-call/Weekend Upgrades, Implementations and rostered Night shift if required.
- Role Definition:
- I Design and development delivery within projects that is efficient, functional, and maintainable.
- Apply analysis skills to understand and assess the impact of infrastructure and technical changes within the environment.
- I will create required design and development documentation and participate in both design and code reviews.
- I understand the software requirements and ensure it’s translated into good quality production - ready code basis provided design & instructions.
- I understand the defined scope and timelines and deliver quality deliverable within the estimated time.
- I attend and actively participate in the team ceremonies.
- TECHNICAL SKILLS
- 2.5 – 5 Years of experience working in Oracle Development and support team with good experience on Oracle DB (Primary)
- Hands on experience with Oracle DB tech stack and related database components.
- Excellent hold on developing and supporting Data Stage
- Strong development skill in Oracle and ETL
- Experience in developing reports in Boxi
- Database Maintenance/ Support tasks and low-level monitoring
- Understanding of system tables, stored procedures, functions, triggers & Oracle (or SQL) tuning
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Server installations and patching.
- Knowledge of data-mapping and logical and physical data modeling.
- Knowledge of RAC, Load balancing and other technologies
- Shell scripting to automate DBA related tasks. Ability to understand existing automated tasks and tweak/troubleshoot them.
- General troubleshooting like assisting clients with various issues related to connectivity, permissions, access, distributed queries issues, suggesting solutions, best practices etc.
- Experience with job scheduling tools like Autosys.
Good to Have
- Knowledge of Oracle Server database tuning using Profiler, Index Tuning Wizard, Dynamic Management Views and Functions (DMVs), and other third-party tools.
- AWS cloud experience (EC2, EMR, S3, Kinesis, Dynamo, API (Application Programming Interface) Gateway & LAMDA)
