Summary: As an Application Support Engineer, you will act as software detectives, providing a dynamic service that identifies and solves issues within multiple components of critical business systems. Your typical day will involve collaborating with various teams to troubleshoot and resolve software-related challenges, ensuring the smooth operation of essential applications and systems. You will engage in problem-solving activities, analyze system performance, and implement solutions to enhance system reliability and efficiency, all while maintaining a focus on delivering exceptional service to stakeholders. Roles & Responsibilities: - Design, build, implement, maintain, migrate, and upgrade Windows Server environments (2003–2019), including security, backup, logging, reporting, and recovery. - Administer Hyperflex/Hyperconverged systems and VMware platforms. - Plan and implement various Windows Server roles and monitor server health. - Identify and resolve system bottlenecks across memory, processor, disk, and network. - Perform Hyperflex capacity upgrades (scale-out/scale-in) and troubleshoot data/storage controllers. - Integrate Hyperflex systems with Cisco UCS Manager and manage server profiles. - Install, configure, and migrate VMware vSphere environments end-to-end. - Upgrade VMware vCenter and manage ESXi cluster setup and configuration. - Troubleshoot VMware-related issues (VMs, ESXi hosts). - Ensure storage connectivity with ESXi hosts over iSCSI. - Apply patches and mitigate vulnerabilities for vCenter Appliance and ESXi hosts. - Govern access and delegate roles within VMware environments. - Conduct capacity planning and apply regression models. - Automate bulk tasks using PowerShell scripting. - Stay current with emerging technologies and support new implementations. - Working knowledge of Active Directory (AD) and DNS Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server Administration. - Good To Have Skills: Experience with cloud-based services and virtualization technologies. - Strong understanding of system monitoring and performance tuning. - Familiarity with scripting languages for automation tasks. - Experience in troubleshooting network and connectivity issues. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Microsoft Windows Server Administration. - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
