Role: AWS Administrator Role Description: We are seeking an experienced AWS Administrator to manage, monitor, and optimize our cloud infrastructure hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AWS services, strong troubleshooting skills, and a solid understanding of cloud security, automation, and operational best practices. Key Responsibilities: • Manage day-to-day operations of AWS infrastructure across multiple environments (Production, Non-Prod, DR). • Create, configure, and maintain EC2 instances, EBS volumes, S3 buckets, VPCs, Security Groups, and IAM roles/policies. • Monitor system performance, resource utilization, and cost optimization using CloudWatch, Trusted Advisor, and Compute Optimizer. • Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery (DR) strategies. • Manage patching, updates, and configuration changes using Systems Manager (SSM) and automation tools. • Ensure security compliance through encryption, IAM access reviews, and network hardening. • Support deployment pipelines using CodeDeploy, CloudFormation, or Terraform. • Troubleshoot system and network issues and provide root cause analysis. • Work closely with development and operations teams to improve infrastructure reliability and efficiency. • Maintain documentation for configuration, procedures, and best practices. Required Technical and Professional Expertise • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in AWS administration. • Strong knowledge of core AWS services: EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, RDS, and EBS. • Experience with Linux/Windows server administration in a cloud environment. • Familiarity with AWS CLI, CloudFormation/Terraform, and automation scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell). • Understanding of cloud networking (subnets, routing, NAT, VPN, peering). • Knowledge of security and compliance practices in AWS. • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, CloudTrail). • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate or equivalent certification. • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodePipeline. • Familiarity with Cost Optimization and Well-Architected Framework best practices. • Exposure to containerization (ECS/EKS/Docker).
