The Location: Hyderabad

The Team:

Equity Capital Structure – Equity Capital Structure dataset within Market Data division focuses on extraction of optimum Equity capital structure of a given company from both Financial and Non-Financial documents filed by companies. It includes, Equity Component Name, Start Date, End Date, Issued Shares, Treasury Shares, Outstanding Shares etc. Apart from this, team also extracts attributes for all the equity components like Authorized Shares, Par Value, Convertibility, Voting Rights etc. The team also captures shareholders data, Corporate Events data, and Depository Receipts Outstanding data against each equity component. The Market Data Operations Team consists of 240+ members working from offices in India and Manila covering all global markets.

Your position will be critical to support the integrity and comprehensiveness of the data set by consuming regulatory documents, stock exchanges, feeds, to collect, summarize, and synthesize relevant information.

This position is an excellent steppingstone to understand varied business structures and capital structures, that will allow you to gain a comprehensive understanding of the businesses through financial reporting standards and enable you to learn, and as well as apply this knowledge to your daily responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

You will be a key member of the S&P Global Equity Capital Structure Operations Team which is part of Market Data. Reporting into the local management team, you will be part of our Content Operations that ensures the information that our clients are looking for is available as timely and accurate as possible.

  • Responsible for extraction and ingestion of data as per the set guidelines, while at the same time adhering accuracy standards.
  • Achieve all the set SMART goals
  • Take the initiative to propose new methodology or processes that will benefit our clients and internal teams
  • Collaborate with the team members and follow best practices.
  • Should do detailed research before reaching out to support team.
  • Actively participate in the team initiatives or projects and add value to clients
  • Share ideas in automation of process or simplification of the same.
  • Work on bad data audits and clean up the same.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Commerce Graduate/Post-Graduation with excellent accounting or financial knowledge.
  • Effective English communication skills (written & Verbal) and sound computer skills are the pre-requisites for the positions. Well versed with Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a team environment, while following flexible schedule to meet deadlines
  • An inquisitive and investigative nature. A Positive attitude, strong interest in research, flair for writing and an eye for detail. Strong quantitative, analytical, and interpretive skill
  • Ability to interact with many levels and to face and deal with issues in a mature and professional manner Preferred Experience.
  • The candidate should be willing to work in rotational (including night) shifts. Adaptability to working across all time-zones.
  • Knowledge of SQL Language and Power BI will be an added advantage.
