Responsibilities
- Act as SPOC with tax consultants for direct, indirect, and withholding taxes.
- Oversee preparation and filing of tax returns; ensure timely tax payments.
- Own compliance calendar and ensure adherence across all entities.
- Support tax planning initiatives and cross-border advisory on new transactions.
- Monitor global tax regulations and maintain audit-ready governance.
- Lead responses to tax audits and inquiries from regulators.
- Drive accurate month/quarter/year-end close, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Ensure strong internal controls, compliance with standards, and risk mitigation.
- Coordinate statutory and group audits with external auditors.
- Collaborate with finance, legal, and operations teams; provide financial insights for decision-making.
Requirements
- MUST HAVE:
- - 4–9 years experience Direct Tax OR Indirect Taxation OR Corporate Tax OR Finance Business Partnering
- - Tax strategy and compliance ownership in SaaS OR Cloud OR Product-based OR Technology company
- - Hands-on experience with GST OR Global Tax OR Cross-border Taxation
- - Exposure to FP&A OR Strategic Finance OR Revenue Recognition (ASC 606 OR IFRS 15)
- - Proven analytical problem-solving and business decision support capability
- - Experience with ERP (NetSuite OR Oracle OR SAP) OR Automation tools
- - Located in India (Bangalore OR Hyderabad OR Pune OR Chennai OR Mumbai OR Gurgaon OR Delhi)
- PREFERRED:
- - CA OR MBA (Finance)
- - Global tax frameworks OR Transfer Pricing exposure
- - Demonstrated cross-functional leadership with Product, Sales, or Operations
