Job Description
Global Supplier Services brings together Sourcing, Third Party Oversight, Procurement Operations, and Accounts Payable into one team. This group of more than 800 employees manages the source-to-pay processes for JPMorgan Chase and provides a governance model which includes strong risk management practices, enhanced performance monitoring, greater scale and strong client engagement. This position is responsible for the GSS Third Party Oversight control environment, including issue identification, escalation, remediation and validation; reporting, metrics and root cause analysis; and partnering with Operational Risk, Compliance and Audit.
Job Summary
As an Associate Control Management within the Global Supplier Services team, you will be responsible for supporting the function with managing and reporting on the operational risk environment. You will have the opportunity to partner with business and operations executives, control teams, CCOR risk/compliance, audit, technology, corporate sectors and other lines of businesses in the identification and mitigation of operational risk. This role provides a unique opportunity to contribute to our proactive risk and control culture, leveraging proven evaluation strategies and sound change management protocols.
Job Responsibilities
- Create a proactive risk and control culture that leverages proven evaluation strategies and sound change management protocols
- Collaborate with control colleagues across the firm, business, operations management, legal, compliance, risk, audit, regulators and technology control functions
- Support the firmwide outsourcing risk stripe in adoption of consistent risk practices to manage supplier failure risk
- Evaluate and perform an end-to-end analysis of the business risk and control environment to identify significant gaps and weaknesses and determine root cause of control breaks
- Ensure that controls are properly designed, operating effectively, and essential to a proactive risk and control culture that leverages proven evaluation strategies and sound change management protocols
- Perform ongoing analysis of program related data and develop ad-hoc reports as requested to support business-related programs and strategies
- Assist with development of mapping and documentations through participation in end-to-end process walkthroughs and deep dives with assigned business units
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- 12+ years of experience in financial services industry with background in controls, audit, quality assurance, risk management, or compliance; or equivalent subject matter expertise in a relevant business related function/operation.
- Proficient knowledge of control and risk management concepts with the ability to design, create and evaluate a Risk & Control Self-Assessment in conjunction with business partners
- Proficient knowledge of risk management in outsourcing
- Problem solving / Analytical skills - solid critical thinking, attention to detail and analytical skills; able to synthesize large amounts of data and formulate appropriate conclusion
- Communication/presentation - excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to influence business leaders in a meaningful and actionable manner
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)

- Business knowledge - ability to understand the business / knowledge of regulation surrounding business and strong orientation with the Outsourcing program
- Networking - exceptional interpersonal skills; exceptional collaboration and relationship building skills
- Work autonomously to affect change - flexible, adaptable to shifting priorities; manages competing priorities to achieve the most effective result and able to work in a fast-paced, results driven environment
- Process analysis / design acumen - ability to understand a process and associated risk to inform control design
- Knowledge of automation and data visualization tools like Alteryx, Tableau, QlikView, UIPath.
