Job Responsibilities
The Corporate & Investment Bank Markets Quality Assurance team carries out periodic detective control activity that provides direct insights into the firm activities' adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies and procedures, as well as the performance of associated controls. Quality Assurance is performed after completion of the process or activity in scope. The team is an independent group reviewing and evaluating a sample population. This role covers:

  • Execution of Quality Assurance tests on in-scope Markets processes, including gathering data from source systems and functions, analyzing the data, and comparison versus procedures and standards.
  • Documentation of the findings in the agreed format, highlighting any issues with accuracy, consistency, timeliness, and discussing the results with London team, stakeholders. Be collaborative - share best practices or opportunities for improvement and Contribute to creating an inclusive team environment based on trust and respect.
  • Take part in reviews to automate data analysis which could bring time and cost savings to the Quality Assurance team, Work with the London & MDA team by providing suggested areas for automation
  • Should access the Test script for Quality Assurance process for the monthly/ quarterly and plan workload to meet the timelines and achieving 100% accuracy in the results
  • Should provide regular update on each cycle findings of test to London team and ensure any issues /potential deadline breaches are escalated in a proactive and timely manner. Identify and own the solutions to remediate or mitigate the issues/delay
  • Should have good relationship with stakeholders in meetings/emails and should be clear with the findings and same to be presented accurately to all stakeholders and actively participate and contribute to team huddles/global meetings and skip meetings. Ask questions, actively listen, learn from others
  • Contribute yourself towards team objectives and act as a trusted advisor to other teams/functions /senior management in relation to Quality Assurance and be able to manage a team and demonstrate team management capabilities


Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelors' degree or equivalent preferred
  • 4-6 years' relevant internship/business experience; financial services industry or background in controls, audit, quality assurance, operational risk management, or compliance.
  • Markets Trading and Sales Business knowledge - ability to understand the business / knowledge of regulation surrounding business
  • Previous Quality Assurance experience good to have
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Communication/presentation - excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Networking - strong interpersonal, collaboration and relationship building skills. Client-service focused team player who operates with a sense of urgency and professionalism
  • Organization - attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple demands and shifting priorities
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills - identify Issues and trends, develop solutions and/or recommendations to address root cause and mitigate operational risk to the firm. Knows when to escalate matters for appropriate resolution
