We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join our Seller Success team. In this role, you will develop data-driven solutions to empower our sellers, improve their performance, acquisition, retention, and their growth on our platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to find opportunities for improvement and develop strategies that support seller success. This role requires a blend of analytics, machine learning, and business acumen to identify opportunities and drive impactful changes for sellers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that inform strategies for seller success
- Develop predictive models and machine learning algorithms to optimize seller performance and engagement.
- Build predictive models for seller churn, sales forecasting, and fraud detection.
- Design and evaluate experiments to test interventions that improve seller success.
- Collaborate with product, business, and engineering teams to translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Identify problems in the seller journey and recommend solutions backed by data.
- Automate reporting dashboards for real-time monitoring of seller performance.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to seller success and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide actionable insights to help sellers improve their sales, conversion rates, and customer satisfaction.
- Stay updated on market trends, competitor strategies, and new methodologies in data science.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education & Experience: BS/BA in a quantitative field (Engineering, Statistics, Economics, etc.) with 5-7 years of experience, or a Master’s with 4+ years in analytics, statistical modeling, or machine learning.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in SQL, Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, Python
- Strategic Influence: Proven track record of partnering with the business leaders and influencing key decisions through data driven insights
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's/Master’s/MBA with a strong quantitative focus from top-tier institution
- Experience: 5+ years in data science/analytics, ideally in eCommerce, finance or consulting.
- Technical Expertise: Advanced skills in SQL, machine learning, Hadoop/Hive, R, Python, and Tableau. Experience with LLMs would be a plus.
- Business & Strategy: Strong ability to translate data insights into business strategies, influencing large-scale operations.
