Job Title: Associate Software Engineer Location: Bangalore

Business & Team:
Ensure software applications meet business needs through the build and integration of automated tests.
You will be working on a Market Data platform that ingests data from various internal and external systems and conforms to a data model that underpins Regulatory Reporting, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Quants and Trader Surveillance.Impact & Contribution:Career aspirations in Associate Software work and additionally handling typescripts, we are looking to assist candidates take on Data Engineering duties as their role and experience progresses in the team.Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with developing effective solutions using the technology stack, under the mentorship of a more senior engineer.
  • Perform entry level engineering duties in solutions with the objective to learn.
  • Build understanding of business and technical strategies.
  • Perform coding and modifications to software systems.
  • Learn and develop programming skills in different programming languages.
  • Participate in code reviews.
  • Participate in support and technical troubleshooting activity.
  • Willingness to work toward becoming a data engineer / business analyst.

Essential Skills: Associate software engineer with 3-5 years of experience with the following technical skills

  • Object oriented languages like Java/C# etc
  • Scripting languages like Python/Javascript/Typescript
  • Strong understand of database and good SQL skills
  • Strong AWS Skills and good knowledge of AWS Native Services
  • Good knowledge on ETL tools. Preferably Ab-Initio 
  • Knowledge of capital Markets trading
  • General understanding of Interest rate, FX and commodity products
  • Good understanding of Market risk measures like sensitivities(greeks), VaR and Macro stress
  • Exposure to regulatory capital & market risk reporting
  • Ability to actively contribute to support and technical troubleshooting activities for our stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the technical design for system enhancements.
  • Strong communication and engagement skills – be responsible to create, own, engage and present test plans, test coverage and test results and seek sign off from our stakeholders.

Education Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology
