The role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced BI Lead Developer with expertise in Tableau and Power BI to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions that provide actionable insights to support data-driven decision-making. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau and Power BI.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Develop data models and ETL processes to ensure data is accurate, consistent, and accessible.
- Optimize BI solutions for performance and scalability.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business objectives.
- Provide training and support to end-users on how to use BI tools and interpret data.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Tableau, Power BI, and BI best practices.
- Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
- Lead and mentor junior BI developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Participate in project planning, execution, and post-implementation support.
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven experience as a BI Developer with a strong portfolio of Tableau and Power BI solutions.
- Proficiency in data modeling, ETL processes, and SQL.
- Strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Preferred Skills:
- Certification in Tableau or Power BI.
- Experience with other BI tools and technologies.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and technologies.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
