Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain billing and revenue management applications using Oracle BRM.
- Code, test, debug, and implement solutions for efficient and accurate billing processes.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to analyze business requirements and customize BRM components.
- Develop and execute test plans, ensuring the reliability and integrity of the billing system.
- Implement and maintain BRM configurations, including pricing, discounting, and product offerings.
- Implement and maintain BRM configuration for simple invoicing and taxation
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to BRM functionalities, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and adherence to best practices.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for BRM configurations, customizations, and integrations.
- Stay informed about updates and enhancements in Oracle BRM, recommending and implementing improvements accordingly.
- Collaborate with system architects and administrators to optimize overall system performance.
- Assist in training and knowledge transfer to junior developers and end users.
- Participate in on-call support as needed to address critical issues outside of regular business hours.
Must Have Skills:
- Previous experience in Oracle BRM development (min 5 years on BRM, at least 10 years in Telecom domain) or similar roles is preferred.
- Proficient in Oracle BRM development, with a deep understanding of BRM data models, and modules.
- Deep understanding of Elastic Charging Engine (ECE)/OCOMC in BRM.
- Understanding of PCRF functionality, configuration of rules on PCRF and experience with integration of PCRF with PCEF systems would be appreciated.
- Strong knowledge of BRM opcodes, including experience of customization and development of new opcodes as needed.
- Experience with BRM batch rating, billing, and invoicing processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Proficiency in BRM configuration management, including policy configuration, custom event mapping, and policy opcode customization.
- Familiarity in integrating BRM with external systems, such as CRM, through customizations and APIs.
- Ability to design and implement complex BRM pricing strategies, discounting structures, and product bundles.
- Skill in performance tuning and optimization of BRM components to ensure optimal system responsiveness.
- Familiarity with BRM testing frameworks and tools for unit testing, regression testing, and performance testing.
- Knowledge of BRM security models and best practices for securing sensitive billing and revenue data.
- Understanding of BRM database schema and proficiency in SQL for database queries and troubleshooting.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Familiarity with BRM patching and upgrade processes, ensuring system stability and compatibility with the latest features.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders, provide technical guidance, and conduct training sessions.
Qualification:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science Engineering or technical degree.
