The Business Development Associate is responsible for acquiring new clients, managing relationships, leading negotiations, and driving revenue growth in the EV sector.
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Business Development Associate for an exciting opportunity in the exponentially growing EV space.
The person should be a self-starter, result-oriented individual responsible for new business acquisitions and order book growth. As a BDA, your core responsibility shall be, but not limited to, identifying and securing new business opportunities, building strong relationships with key clients, and expanding Maxwell’s market share. This experience will provide you an opportunity to build and manage direct relationships with VP’s and managers of automotive OEMs and Battery Pack Manufacturers to help accelerate their transition to electric mobility.
Requirements
- Acquire new clients to expand business, grow customer base & gain market share (Key KPIs - Order book growth, Revenues).
- Act as the primary lead for commercial negotiations and price settlement. Ensure profitability by maintaining minimum gross margins (KPI - %GM)
- Serve as the single point of contact for all assigned customers & account management matters from a commercial standpoint.
- Build and present compelling sales pitches, presentations, and proposals to prospective clients.
- Collaborate with internal & external stakeholders and cross-functional teams (VP’s, Quality, PPC, Finance, R&D, SCM) for smooth and timely project execution.
- Be the ‘customer voice’ inside the organization. Act as a primary point of contact for clients to provide exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Actively participate and represent the company in industry events & conferences.
- Identify new market opportunities beyond automotive for company expansion.
- Develop and execute effective business development strategies and action plans to drive revenue growth, and meet or exceed assigned sales targets and revenue objectives.
- Must-have Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in B2B sales (Automotive experience preferred)
- BE/BTech (electronics / electrical engineering preferred)
- Good presentation and communication skills, with a good grasp of English & Hindi.
- Self-starter, number, and details oriented with an analytical mindset and approach towards problem-solving.
- Ability to manage business accounts using the right CRM, ERP, and relevant tools.
- Is interested in working in the Automotive/EV industry.

- Understanding of electric mobility in APAC and EU.
