The Business Development Manager - Defence will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of our Company within the Indian defence sector. This position requires a strong understanding of wireless radio technology and a deep familiarity with the Indian defence landscape. The person will promote and sell the company's innovative wireless communications products.
Key Responsibilities:- Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential opportunities and understand the evolving needs of the Indian defence sector.
- Requirement Gathering: Gather and analyse Indian Defence / Paramilitary user customer requirements based on various terrain conditions and operations being undertaken.
- Product Demonstrations: Lead product demonstrations and presentations to potential customers, showcasing the unique capabilities and benefits of the Company's products.
- Business Development: Develop and implement effective business development strategies to generate leads, build user trust in the product, and close deals.
- RFP/RFI Response: Prepare and submit comprehensive responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs) from defence procurement agencies.
- Customer Management: Provide ongoing support and address customer needs.
- Field Trials: Coordinate and conduct field trials of the Company's products with customers to validate performance and gather feedback.
- Demand Creation: Proactively identify and create demand for the company's products within the defence forces.
- International Business: Explore and pursue opportunities for international business development in the defence sector.
- Event Management: Represent the Company at defence-oriented exhibitions, trade shows, and customer events.
Requirements
- Military Experience: A commissioned officer with 9-10 years of experience in the Indian Army with a background in Signals.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of wireless radio technology and its applications in defence.
- Business Development Skills: Proven track record in business development, with a focus on the defence sector.
- Personal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to clearly communicate with customers and stakeholders.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively present complex technical information.
- Problem-Solving: Analytical and problem-solving skills to address customer challenges and find innovative solutions.
