About the Role
As a Business Operations Associate, you will play a critical role in optimizing workflows, resolving client issues, and driving strategic scaling initiatives. You will work cross-functionally to enhance operational efficiency, improve automation, and support both existing and new clients. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven environment and is passionate about process improvement, problem-solving, and driving measurable impact.
What You’ll Work On

Own new and existing client reporting workflows, optimizing them for efficiency and accuracy. This work will ensure our operations can support rapid growth while remaining confident in our reporting abilities.

Collaborate with January’s product and engineering teams to troubleshoot issues with and improve our internal tools.

Support January’s Contact Center, Client Success, and Client Operations teams in ad hoc troubleshooting, training on tools and data when technical support is needed (e.g., querying the database, interpreting data, investigating reporting)
What You Bring to the Table

2+ years of experience in analytics, operations, or consulting

Strong SQL skills and can confidently query data, analyze trends, and use insights to improve operations.

A process-first mindset, with the ability to identify inefficiencies, understand system connections, and optimize workflows for scalability.

A proactive approach to problem-solving, taking initiative to address issues and improve processes without waiting for direction.

Clear and concise communication skills, able to break down complex ideas and collaborate effectively across teams.

Strong prioritization and project management skills, balancing multiple tasks, making thoughtful trade-offs, and keeping stakeholders informed.

A willingness to tackle the nitty-gritty tasks that come with being at a startup, doing what it takes to get the job done.
