Senior C++ Developer (Socket Programming and Low-Latency Systems)

Software Requirements:

• Strong programming skills in C/C++, including socket programming (TCP/IP, UDP), templates, and multi-threaded programming
• Proficiency with Linux-based development
• Experience with low-latency, high-throughput environments

Overall Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize high-performance C++ applications
• Work on socket programming, focusing on TCP/IP and UDP protocols
• Implement and maintain multi-threaded applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features
• Optimize applications for low-latency and high-throughput environments
• Debug and resolve complex technical issues
• Stay current with the latest developments in C++ and related technologies

Technical Skills:

Mandatory:

• C/C++ Programming:

  • Strong programming skills in C/C++
  • Expertise in socket programming (TCP/IP, UDP)
  • Experience with templates and multi-threaded programming

• Linux Development:

  • Proficiency with Linux-based development
  • System tuning for performance

• Low-Latency, High-Throughput Environments:

  • Experience in developing and optimizing applications for low-latency and high-throughput

Desired:

• Market Data Protocols:

  • Familiarity with protocols such as FIX, ITCH, and OPRA

• Network Programming:

  • Expertise in TCP/UDP, multicast, shared memory, RDMA, etc.

• Performance Optimization:

  • Experience with performance profiling, debugging, and optimizing latency-sensitive applications

• Distributed Systems and Messaging Frameworks:

  • Hands-on experience with RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc.

• Database Technologies:

  • Knowledge of KDB+/q, NoSQL, or in-memory stores is a plus

• Financial Markets:

  • Previous experience and understanding of Equities, Futures, and Options

Experience:

• 6+ years of experience in C++ software development

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
