About the Role
As a Capital & Onboarding Execution Analyst, you’ll be at the heart of Toast Capital’s customer experience — ensuring smooth, accurate, and efficient onboarding of merchants into our lending and funding programs. You’ll manage data-driven onboarding workflows, identify process gaps, and drive operational excellence across the lifecycle.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee and execute onboarding steps for new capital customers — from documentation and KYC to funding activation.
- Manage onboarding data pipelines, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely updates.
- Analyze onboarding trends to identify bottlenecks and recommend process improvements.
- Partner with compliance, finance, and engineering to resolve onboarding exceptions.
- Maintain playbooks, process documentation, and performance dashboards.
- Support testing and validation of new onboarding tools or automation initiatives.
- Continuously improve the merchant onboarding experience through data insights.
Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Strong data and process orientation; proficiency in SQL, Excel/Google Sheets, and dashboards.
- Detail-oriented with experience managing structured workflows or pipelines.
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills — can bridge between product, ops, and compliance.
- Comfort with ambiguity and process iteration in a scaling environment.
- Experience in fintech, financial services, or SaaS onboarding operations a plus.
