Position Summary

Cash Application Specialist

Duties

Oversee day to day cash application process ensuring all cash receipts are applied to customer accounts correctly. Research and resolve cash application issues, ensure continuing improvement in the process.

Essential Job Functions: 

· Ensure lockbox cash is coded, posted, and reconciled.

· Code, post, and reconcile incoming wire transfers to customer accounts and general ledger accounts.

· Take action to correct posting errors.

· Apply cash and credit to specific invoices.

· Ensure monthly close activities are completed on schedule.

· Provide Cash management reporting as defined by supervisor.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide documentation to Auditors and other teams as requested.  UAT.  Participate in special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Required Experience: 2 – 3 years in a standard accounting environment – at least 2 years with a cash applications process

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

· Attention to details, multitasking and researching.

· Good PC skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

· Knowledge of standard business procedures.

· Ability to work with all levels of staff.

· Mapics, Oracle or similar ERP experience a plus.

Physical Requirements: Office environment

Work Conditions: May require weekend and evening hours.
