Job Title: Chief Technology Officer (India)

We are seeking an experienced and highly technical Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the architecture, development, and scaling of a next-generation virtual digital asset (VDA) platform / crypto exchange business in India.
This is a hands-on executive leadership role for someone who has successfully built and scaled fintech, brokerage/trading, payments, banking, or crypto exchange platforms from the ground up. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in designing secure, scalable, high-availability financial systems and leading high-performing engineering organizations in regulated environments.
The CTO will play a critical role in defining Telcoin India’s technology strategy, infrastructure, security posture, product architecture, and engineering culture as we establish and expand our virtual digital asset service provider operations in India.

Operating across 17+ countries, Telcoin combines telecom distribution, digital assets, and traditional banking infrastructure to deliver fast, low-cost, and accessible financial services.
What You’ll Be Doing- Lead the end-to-end technology vision, architecture, and execution for a virtual digital asset (VDA) platform / crypto exchange.
- Build and scale the company’s engineering organization, development processes, and technical infrastructure from scratch.
- Architect highly scalable, low-latency, secure, and resilient trading and financial systems.
- Oversee the development of exchange infrastructure including trading engines, wallet systems, custody integrations, KYC/AML integrations, payment rails, and user-facing applications.
- Ensure platform reliability, cybersecurity, disaster recovery readiness, and operational scalability.
- Partner closely with executive leadership, compliance, operations, product, and global cross-functional teams to align technology initiatives with business, operational, and regulatory objectives across multiple jurisdictions.
- Establish engineering best practices across software development lifecycle, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, testing, observability, and security.
- Evaluate and implement emerging technologies relevant to fintech, trading systems, blockchain, and virtual digital assets.
- Support regulatory, audit, and compliance initiatives applicable to virtual digital asset service providers in India and other applicable jurisdictions.
- Recruit, build, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering and technology organization from the ground up, including establishing team structure, hiring strategy, engineering culture, and development processes.
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering and technology leadership roles.
- Prior experience serving as CTO, VP Engineering, Head of Engineering, or equivalent senior technology leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience building fintech, brokerage/trading, banking, payments, or crypto exchange platforms from the ground up.
- Strong understanding of exchange architecture, transaction processing systems, APIs, cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Experience managing large-scale production systems with high uptime and performance requirements.
- Familiarity with blockchain infrastructure, wallet technologies, digital asset custody, and virtual digital asset ecosystems is strongly preferred.
- Experience operating in regulated financial services environments is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Experience launching or scaling a crypto exchange, brokerage platform, or digital asset trading platform.
- Familiarity with Indian regulatory considerations applicable to virtual digital asset service providers and fintech businesses.
- Startup or high-growth company experience strongly preferred.
