Key Responsibility
- Stay up to date with Azure and Microsoft Fabric advancements to enhance data engineering processes.
Other Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory (ADF).
- Implement data warehousing solutions and support end-to-end data lifecycle management.
- Work with SQL to write complex queries, optimize performance, and manage data transformation.
- Utilize Azure Portal to manage and monitor cloud-based data infrastructure.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and build data models for analytics and reporting.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and governance in alignment with best practices.
- Provide basic support and understanding of Microsoft Fabric for analytics and data management.
- Troubleshoot data pipeline issues and optimize cloud-based data workflows.

Report project/task status to the appropriate Application Development Manager on a weekly basis (at minimum).

Ensure stakeholders are responded to in a timely and professional manner. Foster open lines of communication with all parties.
Education and/or Experience Qualifications
•
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent practical knowledge/experience.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
- Strong expertise in SQL, including query performance tuning and stored procedures.
- Hands-on experience with Data Warehousing concepts, star/snowflake schema, indexing, and partitioning.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory (ADF) for ETL/ELT workflows.
- Working knowledge of Azure Portal for resource management and monitoring.
- Understanding of Microsoft Fabric and its role in data analytics.
- Familiarity with Azure Data Services (e.g., Azure Synapse, Azure SQL Database, Azure Storage).
- Experience in data modeling, data governance, and metadata management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to debug and optimize data pipelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Python or Spark for data transformations.
- Exposure to real-time data processing (e.g., Azure Event Hubs, Stream Analytics).
- Certifications in Azure Data Engineering (e.g., DP-203), Fabric Certifications (DP600, DP700) or relevant Microsoft certifications.
- Understanding of Power BI or other visualization tools.
