Role Overview
We are seeking a Content Associate to join our fast-paced marketing team. This role will work directly with the broader platform and investment teams to execute end-to-end content initiatives across multiple formats and platforms. You will be the engine behind our content machine - researching, writing, editing, coordinating, and optimizing content that brings our portfolio companies, investment thesis, and brand voice to life.
This is not a cookie-cutter marketing role. You will need to be intellectually curious, editorially rigorous, and operationally excellent. You will work across podcasts, social media, newsletters, events, research reports, and more - constantly context-switching between deep work and rapid execution.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Content Creation & Execution (40%)
● Draft and edit content across formats: social media posts, LinkedIn articles, newsletters, blog posts, event recaps, and one-pagers, among others.
● Write compelling founder stories, investment announcements, and portfolio company spotlights.
● Develop social media content calendars and execute regularised posting across LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram.
● Create first drafts of scripts, outlines, and talking points for podcast episodes.
● Repurpose long-form content (podcasts, reports) into snackable formats for social media
● Write captions that balance storytelling, insight, and engagement - optimized for each platform.
2. Research & Editorial Support (25%)
● Conduct research on sectors, trends, and market dynamics to inform content and thought leadership pieces.
● Extract key insights from podcast transcripts, interviews, and internal discussions.
● Monitor startup ecosystem news, funding announcements, and emerging narratives.
● Identify content opportunities based on portfolio company milestones and industry developments.
● Fact-check content, verify data points, and ensure editorial accuracy.
● Build and maintain a content repository (templates, past campaigns, best-performing posts).
3. Coordination & Project Management (20%)
● Coordinate with design, video, and external agencies to bring content to life.
● Manage timelines for multi-stakeholder projects.
● Track content performance metrics and prepare weekly/monthly reporting.
● Maintain editorial calendars and ensure timely execution of all content initiatives.
● Liaise with portfolio companies for content collection (case studies, testimonials, event participation).
● Support logistics for content-heavy activities (workshops, panels, mixers).
4. Optimization & Growth (15%)
● Monitor social media engagement and identify patterns in high-performing content.
● Conduct A/B testing on headlines, formats, and posting times.
● Stay updated on platform algorithm changes and content best practices.
● Recommend improvements to content strategy based on data and industry benchmarks.
● Build audience personas and refine messaging for different stakeholder groups (founders, LPs, ecosystem).
Requirements
● Exceptional business writing: ability to write clearly, persuasively, and with nuance across formats.
● Editorial judgment: strong command of grammar, style, tone, and storytelling structure.
● Social media fluency: deep understanding of LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram - what works, what doesn't, and why.
● Research skills: ability to synthesize complex information quickly and extract actionable insights.
● Digital marketing fundamentals: basic understanding of SEO, content optimization, and engagement metrics.
● Project management: ability to juggle multiple projects, prioritize ruthlessly, and deliver on time.
