Job Description

As a Control Management Analyst in our Finance team, you will spend each day defining, refining and delivering set goals for our firm.
The Capital Controllers Team is responsible for the controls, monitoring and oversight of the Firm's Capital, Risk Weighted Assets (RWA) under the Basel III Standardized and Advanced capital regime. The team performs Quality Assurance testing on the Firm's Capital reporting framework and are involved in projects, including those related to enhancing key reporting systems, conducting analysis, and participating in various governance forums.
A role on the Quality Assurance (QA) team will provide exposure to finance control management and involvement in quality assurance processes, aimed at mitigating the risk of external reporting errors through additional independent review & validation. The role will involve the following responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities

  • Completing annual risk assessment across external reports to develop an annual plan
  • Partnering with appropriate stakeholders to perform data integrity testing, syndicate results and develop corresponding action plans to facilitate timely resolution
  • Maintaining awareness of external reporting process changes and evolving regulatory changes impacting QA book of work
  • Engaging with Treasury & CIO Capital & Liquidity reporting team and policy teams for support, consultation, and guidance related to QA program
  • Communicating findings to management supporting timely escalation
  • Delivering presentations to stakeholders such as review status and results


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a finance, control, or audit function
  • Creative self-starter with strong initiative, ability to take ownership and work independently as well as contribute to the broader team
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to quickly understand complex subject matter and demonstrate critical thinking
  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast paced environment


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Control mindset (ability to identify and close control gaps and / or issues)
  • Prior knowledge and experience in Regulatory Capital preferred
  • High proficiency in MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) to create and deliver effective presentations
  • Bachelor's degree required, Finance/Accounting or related field preferred
