Job Title: Controller
Job Location: Remote
Job Shift: US PST Shift (8 pm-5 am IST)
We are seeking an experienced Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience, strong expertise in NetSuite (3-5 years), hands-on experience with Bill.com.
Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and coordinate all operational accounting functions, optimizing team performance.
- Manage the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for accurate reporting.
- Oversee the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Lead client-facing interactions, ensuring exceptional service and adherence to deadlines.
- Perform variance analyses, profit margin analyses, and substantiation of balance sheet accounts.
- Manage controllership functions, including cash flow management and financial audits for US clients.
- Research and document technical accounting issues, providing solutions aligned with US GAAP.
- Utilize NetSuite for accounting operations and drive system integrations.
- Streamline payment workflows using Bill.com and other automation tools.
- Develop and enforce internal controls, policies, and accounting procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to provide strategic financial insights.
Experience and Background
- 10+ years of accounting experience, with a focus on controllership for US-based clients.
- 3-5 years of experience with NetSuite ERP is mandatory.
- Expertise in Bill.com for accounts payable/receivable and workflow automation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and related financial reporting requirements.
- Exceptional communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration.
- Experience managing high-growth, complex accounting environments.
- Proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
