In this role, you’ll support and be responsible for the delivery of the regular testing of key controls and files, and the completion of targeted control reviews for a franchise or function

What you'll do
We’ll look to you to ensure the timely completion of all appropriate risk issues, including driving forward appropriate action plans to close or mitigate operational risks, and drive clear improvements and enhancements to the testing approach. Accuracy will be key as you develop, maintain and complete key controls testing and targeted control reviews within agreed timescales and methodologies.
You’ll also assist with ensuring compliance with trading controls responsibilities, providing independent oversight and assurance of the supervisor responsibilities as defined in control procedure and guidance documents.
On top of this, you’ll be:

Devising and undertaking first line of defence tests and reviews in accordance with agreed procedures

Making sure that testing activity in the business has minimal impact on the teams involved

Execute control testing for the respective business areas.

Manage Risk Issues & Events as per EWMRF guidance.

Support local compliance reporting, SOX attestations, QA’s, quarterly application review & 3rd party reviews.

Support trainings run by Risk & Control team
-
Ensure internal and external stakeholder satisfaction by delivering risk and control actions in a timely manner
The skills you'll need
To be successful in this role, you’ll need experience of working in a banking or wealth management environment and will demonstrate a good understanding of financial products as well as knowledge and experience of risk mitigation.
