This is a hybrid roleAt Bluevine, we pride ourselves on our collaborative culture, which we believe is best maintained through in-person interactions and a vibrant office environment. All of our offices have reopened in accordance with local guidelines, and are following a hybrid model. In-office days will be determined by location and discipline.

Role Summary 

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Credit Strategy Analyst II to join our Credit and Pricing Strategy team. This role requires a strong analytical mindset with hands-on experience in analysis, strategy development, and real-time automated decisioning. The candidate will be responsible for designing, optimizing and implementing risk and pricing strategies by leveraging analytics, automated decisioning systems and statistical models to drive top-line growth and profitability.

This position sits at the intersection of strategy, analytics and engineering, ensuring that strategies are effectively implemented in production through internal decision engines. The ideal candidate should possess business acumen, technical expertise and good understanding of risk-based decision-making in a high-growth financial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and Optimize Strategies: Build, refine, and implement data-driven risk and pricing strategies, balancing credit risk and funding.
  • Automated Decisioning & Implementation: Define and develop end-to-end automated decision workflows, integrating them into internal digital underwriting engines using Python.
  • Analytics: Perform in-depth analysis on large datasets to identify patterns, assess risk, and refine pricing strategies, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
  • Experimentation & Continuous Optimization: Design and execute A/B tests to refine decision-making processes.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Data Engineering, Product, and Data Science to gather insights, and conduct analysis of potential strategies.
  • Monitoring & Feedback Loops: Develop and maintain dashboards to track key performance metrics.

What are we looking for?

  • Technical Proficiency – Strong foundation in SQL and Python/R
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills – Ability to translate raw data into actionable insights, leveraging statistical techniques and data visualization tools

  • Adaptability & Entrepreneurial Mindset – Thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments, handling ambiguity with confidence.
  • Experimentation & Optimization – Experience with A/B testing and iterative improvements in decision-making making process

Required Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Data Science, or related disciplines).
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in analytics/strategy
  • SQL, Python/R and Excel high proficiency
  • Dashboarding tools like Tableau, Power BI,Metabase etc.

Not required, but a plus

  • Familiarity with risk modeling, credit decisioning frameworks, and pricing elasticity analysis.
  • Experience in financial services, especially U.S. banking, fintech, credit line, or credit card industries.
  • Exposure to machine learning models and deployment in risk/credit decisioning
