Summary: As an Application Lead, you will lead the effort to design, build, and configure applications, acting as the primary point of contact. Your typical day will involve collaborating with various teams to ensure that application requirements are met, overseeing the development process, and providing guidance to team members. You will also engage in problem-solving activities, ensuring that the applications are functioning optimally and meeting the needs of the organization. Your role will require you to stay updated with the latest technologies and methodologies to enhance application performance and user experience. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to be an SME. -Install, configure, upgrade, and manage MongoDB clusters (standalone, replica set, sharded) -Design and implement high availability, replication, and disaster recovery strategies -Migrate MongoDB instances between on-premises datacenters and cloud platforms (or vice versa) -Deploy and manage MongoDB on public cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) and with MongoDB Atlas -Monitor database health using MongoDB tools, Prometheus/Grafana, or Ops Manager -Work closely with DevOps and infrastructure teams to implement automation scripts and CI/CD -Optimize queries, indexes, and schema design for performance -Manage user access, roles, and security policies in MongoDB -Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) for database provisioning and scaling -Prepare technical documentation, SOPs, and architecture diagrams -Participate in on-call support, capacity planning, and DR drills Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in MongoDB Administration. -Strong hands-on experience with MongoDB (4.x, 5.x, or later) in production -Expertise in Replica Sets, Sharding, and horizontal scaling -Experience in deploying and managing MongoDB on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) -Knowledge of MongoDB security (authentication, authorization, TLS/SSL, IP whitelisting) -Familiarity with MongoDB Ops Manager or Atlas for monitoring and automation -Experience in backups (mongodump/mongorestore, Ops Manager) and disaster recovery -Ability to troubleshoot performance, query, and storage issues -Exposure to infrastructure automation (Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD workflows - Good To Have Skills: Experience with Ansible on Microsoft Azure, Prometheus Event Monitoring System, AWS Administration. - Strong understanding of database management and optimization techniques. -Database Systems-MongoDB (4.x/5.x/6.x), DocumentDB, MongoDB Atlas -Cloud Platforms-AWS, Azure, GCP (IaaS and DBaaS deployments) -Clustering & HA Replica Sets, Sharding, Mongos, Arbiter Nodes -Automation & Scripting,Ansible, Bash, Python, Terraform -Monitoring & Ops- MongoDB Ops Manager, Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch -Security Authentication (SCRAM, LDAP), Authorization, TLS/SSL, Encryption at rest -Backup & Recovery mongodump/mongorestore, Ops Manager Backup, Snapshot-based -Performance Tools explain(), index stats, db.serverStatus(), profiler -DevOps & CI/CD Jenkins, Git, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes (optional) -Documentation Confluence, Visio, Markdown, ERD tools Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in MongoDB Administration. - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
