Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced SAS Team Lead to guide a team of SAS developers in delivering high-quality data processing, analytics, and reporting solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in SAS, hands-on experience integrating and working with DB2 databases, strong leadership abilities, and a proven track record in managing end-to-end project execution, including planning, development, quality checks, and delivery's Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of SAS developers, providing technical guidance, code reviews, and performance feedback. Plan and allocate tasks, ensuring timely and quality delivery of project requirements. Collaborate closely with project managers, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams. Drive best practices, coding standards, and process improvements within the team. Technical Responsibilities: Design and architect SAS-based data workflows, ETL processes, and reporting solutions. Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot advanced SAS programs (Base SAS, Macros, PROC SQL). Perform complex data analysis, quality checks, and validation on large datasets. Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data outputs and reports. Implement automation to streamline manual SAS workflows. Project Delivery & Coordination: Understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Ensure alignment with organizational standards and project governance processes. Coordinate with QA, DevOps, database teams, and business analysts for seamless delivery. Monitor progress, manage risks, and resolve technical issues proactively. Prepare status reports and present updates to stakeholders and leadership teams. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field. 7+ years of hands-on experience in SAS programming, including Base SAS, SAS Macros, PROC SQL, SAS Enterprise Guide, and working with large datasets. Strong understanding of data processing, ETL concepts, and performance optimization. Proven experience leading teams and managing end-to-end project execution. Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities. Good to Have: Experience with SAS DI Studio, SAS Visual Analytics, SAS Grid, or SAS Studio. Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) or modern data platforms. Experience in Agile/Scrum environments. Domain expertise (BFSI, Healthcare, Pharma, Retail). SAS certifications (e.g., Base Programmer, Advanced Programmer, SAS Data Management).15 years full time education
