Advanced Analytics and Automation Team builds automation, analytics and artificial intelligence solutions that drive success for Cardinal Health by creating material savings, efficiencies, and revenue growth opportunities. The team drives business innovation by leveraging emerging technologies and turning them into differentiating business capabilities.
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join the SAS Revenue Management team. This is an agile team focused on building & maintaining various financial engines in SAS for the Revenue Management team of Finance.
This role is critical for the success of supporting our sales organizations and delivering best in class services and insights related to our Go-to-Market process Cardinal Health customers. The Data Engineer will work across multiple classes of trade to deploy and evolve activities such as commercial business performance measurement, sales tracking, measuring sales force effectiveness, and building training to improve outcomes of the sales organization. Additionally, they will partner with other commercial teams to develop and implement methods that enhance account level profitability and reduce customer churn. In doing so, you will be required to develop a deep understanding of various metrics that are used to track and prioritize sales forces efforts to grow profitably.
Responsibilities for this role:
- Equip the business with timely insights to enable proactive customer engagement and action
- Build consistent end to end commercial KPI’s and lead the delivery of insights across the pharmaceutical segment to improve visibility and decision making
- Lead the efforts to enhance and maintain SAS-based processes that provide decision support for business leaders and the Pharma Revenue Management team.
- Participates in the development of policies and procedures to achieve specific goals. Ensures employees operate within guidelines.
- Acquire, validate, standardize, enrich, protect and publish structured and unstructured data for use by the business
- Provide the competencies and skills to team members needed to enable the environment for results.
- Helping the team to overcome external dependencies and planning the sprint deliveries.
- Coach and Mentor junior Operation Team members
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, related technical degree, or equivalent industry experience, and a minimum five years of IT experience
- 5+ years’ working experience in Data Analytics and Data Engineering areas.
- Deep Knowledge of key information systems and tools with a primary focus on SQL and SAS, with expert proficiency in the data transformation procedures such as the Data Step, Proc SQL, Proc Freq, and Macros/Macro Language processing
- SAP, Tableau, Looker, Google Cloud Platform, and Google Big Query preferred
- Strong experience and understanding of Agile methodology.
- Experience acting as a Scrum Master/
- 5+ years’ experience in Agile Execution in Data engineering and Analytics area is preferred.
- Knowledge to Cloud Technologies (GCP) is a plus
- Working experience/knowledge in Public Cloud Infrastructure (GCP preferred).
- Working experience/knowledge of Cloud technologies & Services (GCP preferred)
- Excellent Stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to adapt to and self-learn new technologies and deliver on them
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to clearly articulate status of requests and issues both with IT and business partners
- Willingess to work in US business hours.
