Role Overview

We are seeking a Data Engineer to own and scale our data warehouse and event pipeline infrastructure. You will ensure critical product, customer, and market data is collected, structured, and available in BigQuery to support experimentation, compliance reporting, and business insights. This is a high-impact, onsite role in our Bangalore office, where you will collaborate closely with engineering and product stakeholders to build reliable, scalable data foundations.

Responsibilities
  • Own and manage the company’s data warehouse (BigQuery), including schema design, indexing, and performance optimization.
  • Ensure event tracking and ingestion pipelines (via RudderStack) are reliable and scalable, adding new sources as required.
  • Partner with engineering teams to verify that correct data is collected and instrumented.
  • Support product and business stakeholders with queries, views, and dashboards to enable experimentation and decision-making.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and monitoring tools for real-time visibility, including alerts on key metrics.
  • Maintain data quality, reliability, and security best practices across pipelines and warehouse.
Must-Have Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role in high-growth tech/fintech environments.
  • Hands-on expertise with BigQuery (schema design, query optimization, advanced SQL).
  • Strong experience with ETL pipelines, data ingestion, and reverse ETL workflows.
  • Proficiency with RudderStack (or similar event streaming tools) for data collection and routing.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing principles, observability, and query performance tuning.
  • Ability to collaborate across engineering and product teams in a startup environment.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications
  • Prior experience supporting product experimentation and funnel analytics.
  • Exposure to compliance and regulatory reporting use cases (e.g., transaction monitoring, anomaly dashboards).
  • Experience with real-time dashboards, monitoring, and alerting systems.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, Metabase, or similar).
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary and opportunity for industry impact.
  • Onsite, high-ownership role in Bangalore.
  • Shape data-driven culture and systems at a fast-growing company.
  • Professional development within world-class fintech.
  • Commitment to inclusion—diverse perspectives valued.

We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
