Matrix is looking for a talented Data Engineer to design and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures using modern data stack technologies. You'll collaborate closely with analytics and engineering teams to ensure reliable data delivery and transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines using Pyspark AWS and DBT
- Implement data modeling best practices and ensure data quality
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions
- Optimize existing data workflows for reliability and performance
- Document data architecture and maintain data governance standards
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in data engineering
- Strong proficiency with SQL and Python
- Hands-on experience with Python AWS dbt
- Understanding of data warehouse design principles
- Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with data quality testing and monitoring tools
- Knowledge of data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Background in Agile development methodologies
