Data Lead

Reporting into the Head of Engineering for finance platforms or Senior Data Lead, the market data migration lead will be the business point of contact for finance teams across market data migration projects. This role will join the new internal data migration function as we move all our entities onto Dynamics 365 F&O. You will be working as the bridge between the market finance and GPO teams, and the internal technical data migration leads and analysts along with the key finance users within the business.

Job Description:

Experience and Knowledge :

• 10-15 years of experience in D365 F&O data migration.

• Proven experience of leading the design, planning, management, and delivery of large-scale data migration projects. This should include the data cleansing, ETL process, reconciliation, and final client acceptance.

• Strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365 F&O Functional knowledge and Data Management Framework.

• Additional expertise in Salesforce data migration is considered an advantage.

• Good understanding of parent and child relationship creation for data migration.

•   Experience with 'data migration' programmes or master data management and not just technology or software implementations.

• Ability to lead a team will be considered an advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the head of engineering on delivering the data migration framework and strategy for the new internal data migration team

• Lead the co-ordination and delivery of all Data Migration (DM) activities, coordinating with the DM functional lead

• Work closely with senior functional consultants and local business global process owners

• Work with legacy application and database technical subject matter experts to analyse and assess the quality and readiness of legacy data to be migrated. Identify data cleansing and data enrichment needs

• Run data mapping workshops, to gather detailed data migration requirements

• Work with subject matter experts and project team to identify, define, collate, document, and communicate the data migration requirements

• Coordinate between programme functional workstream leads and data migration analysts/technical leads

• Work with the head of engineering to champion new ideas and approaches along the DM stream, help in defining a robust strategy for Dentsu and deliver excellence in this space

• Work with the global process owners (GPOs) and solution teams to ensure data quality is consistent between markets and that the data is fit for purpose and adheres to the global template for D365

• Adopting and promoting an environment to achieve delivery excellence as well as providing best practice support and guidance

• Oversee and ensure SI Data Migration Technical Analysts have adequate support

• Work with environments team and technical project managers to make sure all environment requests are submitted with the correct lead time and requirements

• Ensure data migration deliverables are produced on time and are of sufficient quality to aid data migration sign off

• Collaboratively work with Project managers to feed into the overall project plan

• Understand the target system to ensure migrated data meets requirements for reporting and processing, once system is live

• Define data migration approach and plan ETL cycles

• Provide regular status updates to Global Data Lead and programme team.

• Run data validation workshops and assist key users with validation

• Act as a point of escalation for issues associated with data during the design, build and test phases, as well as cutover and hypercare.

• Raise data migration defects, assign to technical data analysts & track to completion

• Produce a data migration strategy report for each deployment of D365

• Produce a data completion report for sign off for each ETL cycle and go live

• Working with the data migration lead perform fit gap analysis between vendor DM tools vs internal DM tool
