What you get to do in this role:
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineering to be on the lookout for upcoming functions and features that need to be integrated into outcome-based demo narratives
- Configure the products in a solution oriented approach so that Okta Go to Market Teams can communicate the solutions the product(s) can solve
- Work directly with Field teams to understand customers perspectives to capture their expectations, preferences, and aversions in a “Voice of the Customer”
- Use data gathered from Product Managers, Sales, Customers, and Marketing, to build and configure demos to showcase Okta’s overarching solutions and product portfolio
- Provide the technology that enables the Field to bring compelling demo stories to life
- Collaborate with other product teams to develop demos that showcase non-product specific outcomes
- Create various narrative driven scripts for different types of demos then configure the instance to tell those stories
- Work with Field Readiness team to drive adoption of the Demo Platform within the field organization
- Participate in the release planning process to influence the product direction based on customer feedback
- Monitor, triage and work incidents against your configurations
- Maintain integrity of data within demos (for example, update dates to be current and make sense on dashboards, ensure “demo data” is relevant and does not reference outdated technology, etc.)
- Create supporting documents for demos like solution records, overview, details, release notes, and presentations
Qualifications
In order to be successful in this role, we need someone who has:
- 5+ years of experience with Enterprise SaaS products.
- Full Stack development experience (React.js, node, AWS)
- Experience building technical solutions that scale from the ground-up
- Demonstrable skills in translating complex technical problems into simple business language
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Be able to understand and represent end-to-end value driven demos to different personas in the procurement space. Includes being able to demo to senior personas at the VP of Procurement and CFO level.
- Have advanced working technical knowledge of the Okta and Auth0 platform.
- Extensive demonstration experience covering technical and value needs.
- Writing skill and proficiency to craft narrative scripts
- Natural empathy for and understanding of the needs of customers across multiple types.
The ability to generate ideas for how our products can make our customers and partners more successful.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technology.
- Must enjoy working in a highly collaborative environment.
- Exceptional communication skills to include technical and business concepts.
- Very strong written communication skills.
- Demonstrated being proactive without being told what to do.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and be efficient to minimize wasted effort.
- Proven ability to live up to commitments while maintaining integrity and focus on details.
- Thinks strategically, fast-learning and communicates with impact.
