Position Summary
As a Senior/Staff Engineer on our Adoption Engineering team, you will be essential in designing, implementing, and supporting Harness reference architectures for our commercial customers. We are looking for a skilled Technical Implementation Engineer to design, deploy, and optimize technical solutions with a focus on Financial Operations (FinOps) or Chaos Engineering. In this hands-on role, you will collaborate with engineering teams, cloud architects, and finance stakeholders (for FinOps) or resilience teams (for Chaos Engineering) to implement robust systems, troubleshoot issues, and drive operational excellence. You will bridge the gap between theoretical design and practical execution, ensuring scalable, cost-efficient, and resilient infrastructures.
Key Responsibilities
- Harness Cloud Cost Management Focus:
- Guide customers in adopting Harness Cloud Cost Management by configuring cost visibility dashboards, setting up budget alerts, and implementing cost optimization workflows.
- Educate users on features like intelligent cost anomaly detection, resource tagging, and automated savings recommendations.
- Partner with customer finance and DevOps teams to align Harness capabilities with their cloud cost governance goals.
- Chaos Engineering Focus:
- Assist customers in adopting Harness Chaos Engineering by designing and demonstrating chaos experiments that improve system resilience.
- Train teams on creating fault injection scenarios, interpreting results, and integrating chaos practices into CI/CD pipelines using Harness.
- Advocate for proactive resilience testing to reduce downtime and enhance customer confidence in their deployments.
- About You
- Conduct onboarding sessions, workshops, and live demos to showcase the value of Harness tools and accelerate user proficiency.
- Troubleshoot customer issues related to Harness adoption, collaborating with support and engineering teams to resolve blockers.
- Develop and share adoption playbooks, documentation, and success stories to empower users and streamline onboarding.
- Gather customer feedback on Harness features and relay insights to product teams to influence roadmap development.
- Monitor adoption metrics (e.g., feature usage, user engagement) and recommend strategies to deepen tool integration within customer workflows.
