Your day at NTT DATA

The DevOps Engineer is responsible for creating and maintaining the platforms that developers use to build and deploy applications.

What you'll be doing

Key Responsibilities:

• Works closely with Automation, Frontend and Backend team to receive detailed business/user requirement specifications that identify the goals of the program.
• Assists with the preparation of a technical requirements document, including systems and flowcharts that diagrammatically show how the information will flow through the computer and its peripheral or related equipment.
• Responsible for the stability, and scalability of the platform.
• Analyse data, review existing processes and tools, provide operational insights into customer experience, service reliability and quality to Engineering and Product teams.
• Manage incident response and assist with root cause analysis investigations.
• Focuses on standardization through design, infrastructure, service level agreements, workflow optimization, and configuration.
• Contribute to the development and support of new or existing tooling and predictive models to identify and test potential improvements in product development and operations, monitor the impact of changes on operations metrics (e.g., Time-to-X) within an organization.
• Participate in on-call rotation
• Examines any program errors in logic and data and makes the necessary recommendations to correct the program as required and/or escalate the problem accordingly.
• Works with the required teams to assist with the installation and deployment of the application.
• Assists with implementation preparation and implementation of the solution into a production environment.
• Assists with the resolution of any problems identified in the integration and test phases.
• Supports all the code sets and implementations that have been implemented in production in accordance with defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for the business.
• Assists with post-implementation process reviews.
• Performs any other related task is required.

Knowledge and Attributes:

• Seasoned knowledge on multi-technology application design best practices.
• Ability to take holistic views of application environments, including hardware platforms, applications, databases, operating systems, and storage.
• Ability to work with abstract concepts and have sound problem solving and analytical skills.
• Seasoned technical understanding of development and platform engineering.
• Excellent client-centricity with the ability to focus on business outcomes.
• Ability to demonstrate impeccable attention to detail and work well within a team environment.
• Ability to continuously contribute to the improvement of internal effectiveness by contributing to the improvement of current methodologies, processes, and tools.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology or related field.
• Relevant DevOps certification preferred.
• Relevant Agile related certification preferred.
• Relevant certification of cloud platforms and services, for example (but not limited to) AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Relevant certification of scripting and programming language Python
• Mandatory Certifications:
  • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals Certification AZ 900
  • Terraform Associate
  • Certified Kubernetes Admin
  • Certified Microsoft DevOps Engineer
  • Azure Advanced Administrator
  • Data Infrastructure with Apache Kafka - Aspire
  • Python Certified
   
   
  Good-to-have Certifications:
  • Qualys Vulnerability Management Foundation
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
  • Docker Certified Associate

Required Experience:

• Seasoned experience deploying software solutions to clients in an outsourced or similar IT environment.
• Seasoned experience working in a multi-team environment across multiple geographies.
• Experience in Linux-based servers (ubuntu)
• Experience in the DevOps fields for at least 3 years
• Knowledge of Jenkins and MongoDB, Docker and Terraform
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI/CD
• Experience with cloud services in Azure (virtualization, networking, maintenance of platform)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and ability to handle complex and ambiguous situations
• Passionate about customer satisfaction and product quality
