About The Role

G2 is looking for a Devops Engineer who will be instrumental in automating and streamlining our operations and processes, ensuring seamless deployment, scalability, and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure. Primary focus will be on infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, managing Kubernetes clusters with Amazon EKS, and implementing GitOps workflows with ArgoCD. They will work closely with development, operations, and security teams to build robust, scalable, and secure systems that support the continuous delivery of our applications.

In This Role, You Will: 

• Infrastructure Management
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
  • Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters on Amazon EKS for high availability, security, and performance.
  • Automate the provisioning and deployment of cloud resources to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and security of cloud infrastructure.
• CI/CD Pipeline Development
  • Develop and maintain continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like GithubActions, GitLab CI, or similar.
  • Implement GitOps practices using ArgoCD to automate and manage application deployments.
  • Ensure the reliability and security of CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated testing, security scanning, and compliance checks.
• Automation and Scripting
  • Write and maintain scripts for automation tasks related to infrastructure and deployment.
  • Implement automated monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes.
  • Develop custom solutions to address unique business challenges and optimize existing workflows.
• Collaboration and Support
  • Work closely with development teams to understand application requirements and translate them into infrastructure needs.
  • Provide support and troubleshooting assistance for infrastructure and deployment-related issues.
  • Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Monitoring and Optimization
  • Set up and manage monitoring tools to gain insights into infrastructure and application performance.
  • Identify bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and areas for improvement, implementing solutions as needed.
  • Continuously evaluate and optimize infrastructure costs, performance, and reliability.
• Documentation and Training
  • Document infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing across the team.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior engineers or other team members on best practices for infrastructure management and CI/CD processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies, sharing knowledge with the team.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or similar role.
• Strong experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Extensive experience with Kubernetes, specifically managing clusters with Amazon EKS.
• Proven experience implementing GitOps workflows with ArgoCD.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms, especially AWS (Amazon Web Services).
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., GithubActions, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
• Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.
• Experience with version control systems like Git and understanding of branching strategies.
