Summary of Position:
We are looking for a skilled DevOps & Cloud Engineer to join our Digital Health Foundational Services team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, and automation, with specific expertise in healthcare-related technologies and compliance standards. You will be responsible for building, managing, and optimizing our cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring the secure and efficient delivery of healthcare solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and compliant AWS cloud environments tailored to healthcare applications.
- CI/CD Pipeline Development: Develop, automate, and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure smooth and rapid delivery of healthcare software solutions.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure that all cloud and DevOps processes adhere to healthcare industry regulations such as HIPAA, HITECH, and SOC 2. Implement and monitor security best practices, including automated compliance checks and vulnerability assessments.
- Automation and Scripting: Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Ansible to automate cloud resource provisioning and management, with a focus on healthcare-specific requirements.
- Monitoring and Performance Optimization: Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure the availability, performance, and security of healthcare applications and infrastructure. Continuously optimize system performance and resource utilization.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA, Product, and security teams, to integrate DevOps practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Incident Management: Lead incident response efforts, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions to prevent recurrence, particularly for healthcare systems that require high availability and data integrity.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for cloud infrastructure, processes, compliance, and operational procedures.
Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps and cloud engineering, with a strong focus on healthcare industry applications.
- Cloud Platforms: Extensive experience with AWS, including healthcare-specific services, security, and compliance.
- CI/CD Tools: Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or similar, with experience in healthcare application deployments.
- Scripting and Automation: Strong scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell, and experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Security and Compliance: In-depth understanding of healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, HITECH, and SOC 2, and experience implementing security controls in a healthcare cloud environment.
- Monitoring and Logging: Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, particularly in healthcare environments.
- Collaboration: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with healthcare professionals and IT teams.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex healthcare-related issues in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications: Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator) are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Healthcare Industry Experience: Specific experience working on cloud and DevOps projects within the healthcare sector.
- Agile/Scrum Experience: Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Database Management: Knowledge of database management in cloud environments, including both SQL and NoSQL databases used in healthcare applications.
- Serverless Architecture: Experience with serverless computing frameworks and technologies in the healthcare industry.
- Cost Optimization: Experience with cloud cost management and optimization strategies, with a focus on healthcare applications.
Work hours: 1 PM to 10 PM IST
