Your Day to Day
As a DevOps Engineer you would be working on:
· Understanding the problems of our developers who use our productivity tools and giving them the best solution.
· Developing scripts and programs to support the tools that we offer to developers.
· Being on the on-call rotation for the most critical services your group owns.
· Support, administer and maintain tools like Jira, confluence, Jenkins and others.
· Bring in new ideas, solution and services to improve developer productivity.
What We’re Looking For
As a DevOps Engineer, your background will look like:
· Great communication skills, ability to quickly determine issuer importance and switch context as needed.
· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in computer science, electrical engineering, or related field is preferred with 4 to 6 years of directly related work experience
· Strong exposure to DevOps tools and Cloud environments like AWS/OCI
· Coding experience in at least one high level language and scripting like python, javascript, groovy, etc.
· Working experience on container orchestration tools like Kubernetes
· Experience in managing or administering tools and Infrastructure-as-code is an added advantage (E.g Jira, Jenkins, TestRail).
· Experience in setting up applications like Jira or Jenkins. You must have done the configuration, administration and user support of either Jira, Jenkins or other developer tools.
· Mindset to learn and manage tool configurations, support internal users, available for on-call.
· Preferably knowledge on system and networks
· Preferably a bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
