What is the opportunity?

The Software Engineering Systems team within ADI’s Engineering Enablement group are expanding and we are looking for an experienced DevOps Support Engineer. In this role, you will provide technical support and assistance to ensure the smooth operation of our DevOps tools and infrastructure. You will work closely with teams to troubleshoot issues and support continuous integration and delivery processes.

What will I be doing?

  • Provide support to teams with licensing and fixing issues related to GitHub and Artifactory, ensuring smooth and compliant usage of these tools.
  • Create Standard workflows for CICD Pipelines and help and support teams in creating or migrating CICD Pipelines.
  • Assist in training teams on the use of DevOps tools and best practices especially GitHub, GitHub Actions, Artifactory and Static code analysis tools like Coverity, Polyspace and Sonarqube.
  • Build docker sidecars and write shared libraries that allow developers to easily create CI/CD pipelines.
  • Write scripts to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management. Automate toil (repeatable mundane tasks) using Shell or Python.
  • Build monitoring dashboards using tools like Prometheus & Grafana.
  • Design and build reporting and self-healing mechanisms into our tools and services.
  • Document support processes, troubleshooting steps, and best practices to ensure knowledge sharing and consistency.

What skills do I need?

  • 3+ years of relevant industry experience in DevOps activities.
  • Proficient with standard software engineering practices such as agile development methodologies, DevOps workflows.
  • Excellent knowledge in CICD pipelines especially with GitHub Actions and Jenkins Pipelines.
  • Proficient with Version control systems like GitHub, Bitbucket and Perforce.
  • Experience in containerization and packaging using technologies such as Docker or Podman or Containerd, Helm or Kustomize
  • Knowledge of orchestration platforms like Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, OpenShift etc.
  • Knowledge in Static code analysis tools like Coverity, Polyspace or SonarQube.
  • knowledge in scripting and programming language like Bash, Python, Golang etc. is a plus.
  • Be comfortable with any flavor of Linux.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Being able to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions across a distributed team is a core requirement.
