The Opportunity 

“Enablement Engineers are responsible for the adoption of GTS capabilities. They develop documentation, sample code, and video tutorials to support implementation, working with each team to understand their systems and helping them adapt their existing applications to leverage new capabilities and comply with established policies” - Sr Director, DevOps Engineering Enablement

What You’ll Contribute 

  • Your unique combination of engineering, DevOps and teaching skills have finally found their place here at FICO. 
  • FICO's DevOps Enablement Engineers are strong engineers with real world experience developing and delivering complex platforms. You will contribute your experience with Version Control (Git), Build Tools (GitHub Actions), Cloud Platforms (AWS, GCP, and Azure), and Cloud Infrastructure (Kubernetes, ArgoCD, and Crossplane) to help our teams adopt and maximize these new tools within their development pipelines. 
  • You will enjoy helping other engineers apply best practices and develop their applications to innovate at the speed of business. 
  • You will help shape our delivery platforms by building strong relationships with our Product and Engineering, Architecture, Cyber-security, education, and professional services organizations. 
  • You will help product engineering teams have a clear understanding of the platform delivery system’s vision and goals while bringing their needs and requirements back to the DevOps team backlog. 
  • You will research industry trends and successes and bring these learnings back to the product engineering teams. 
  • You will use data to inform decision making.  Analyze data for trends and potential pain points and use this to prioritize and inform our development and enablement priorities. 
  • You will participate in sprint practices such as standup, planning, retrospectives and backlog grooming. 
  • You will develop reports/dashboards to communicate with various stakeholders and executive leadership to ensure alignment.  
  • You will facilitate and moderate tough discussions to keep programs on track and raise issues when needed.  
  • You will think strategically about how to solve root problems in a scalable and repeatable way to help improve FICO’s product engineering globally.  
  • You will act as an agent for change within the organization to build strong teams and advance FICO’s platform first agenda.  
  • You will contribute to our mission which is to be at the heart of our clients’ operations, from accelerating digital transformation to breaking down organizational silos to broadening credit access. We bring the power of human expertise and artificial intelligence together, enabling our clients to make real-time decisions that matter, at scale. 

What We’re Seeking 

  • An experienced DevOps Engineer with a background in building a strong DevOps culture and leading DevOps transformation. 
  • A natural teacher who enjoys breaking down complex topics for both technical and non-technical audiences. 
  • A gifted communicator who can drive clarity through verbal and written communications. 
  • An innovator who is willing to experiment and iterate on the path to making DevOps easier for our product engineering teams to adopt. 
  • A customer focused team player that won’t rest until the customer’s needs are met. 
  • Ideal candidates will have experience with database design, building distributed systems, containerization, API design and scripting/programming. 
  • Ideal candidate leads by example to embrace DevOps culture and mindset including culture of psychological safety, empowerment, experimentation, collaboration, co-create, continuous improvement, disagree and commit, and outcome over output.  
  • Experience working asynchronously with a remote, distributed team. Experience leading global teams. 
  • Analytics and financial industry background is a plus. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in highly related field; Advanced degree a plus.
