Director of Engineering

About the Role

We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on Director of Engineering to lead the development of scalable, secure, and high-quality healthcare technology solutions. You'll drive engineering excellence across platforms, define and uphold best practices, and bring strong leadership to our India team- ensuring our code is clean, well-tested, and future-ready. This role blends technical depth with business alignment to help us innovate and grow in a compliance-driven space.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the development of secure, scalable, and high-quality healthcare applications, data platforms, APIs, and analytics systems.
• Establish and enforce engineering standards, design patterns, version control discipline, testing best practices, and clean coding practices across teams.
• Research, evaluate, and implement emerging technologies and industry trends to stay at the forefront of healthcare innovation.
• Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations, data security standards, and quality assurance processes.
• Evaluate team performance, foster a culture of accountability, and drive delivery excellence.
• Incorporate innovative technologies to maintain a competitive edge in the healthcare domain.
• Act as a technical advisor to senior leadership, offering insights and recommendations on engineering strategy and architecture.
• Support pre-sales activities by providing technical feasibility inputs and building PoVs/PoCs to propose solutions.
• Collaborate with product management and cross-functional teams to translate business needs into actionable engineering plans.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, driving alignment across global teams.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field

• 15+ years of industry experience and 5+ years of experience in technical leadership role preferably as Director of Engineering or similar • Experience delivering complex Healthcare solutions
• Strong technical background with hands-on expertise in AWS/Azure cloud technologies, front-end programming such as REACT, ANGULAR and back-end development using Python, C# and Relational Database
• Knowledge of Healthcare standards and regulations including HIPAA, HITECH, HL7, FHIR
• Demonstrated success in leading engineering teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
