Lead and build an engineering team, drive technical execution, solve complex challenges in AI and automation, and influence product strategy.
About Loop: At Loop, we’re revolutionizing restaurant operations with AI-powered automation. Our technology helps restaurants streamline their workflows, reduce costs, and enhance customer experiences—all through intelligent automation. We’re a fast-moving, early-stage startup on a rapid growth trajectory, and we need a technical leader to build and scale our engineering team from the ground up.
Why Join Loop?
Founding Engineering Leadership: You’ll be the first engineering manager, shaping the team, culture, and technical direction.
High-Impact Role: Work directly with the founders to build AI agents that transform the restaurant industry.
Growth Journey: Help scale a startup from early-stage chaos to a market-leading company.
Cutting-Edge AI: We’re not just another SaaS company—we’re pushing the boundaries of AI automation in food-tech.
What You’ll Do:
- Build & Lead: Hire and mentor a world-class engineering team (starting small, but growing fast).
- Ship Fast & Smart: Drive technical execution—design, architecture, and hands-on coding when needed.
- Solve Hard Problems: Optimize AI agents, scale infrastructure, and ensure reliability for real-world restaurant operations.
- Shape the Future: Influence product strategy and work closely with founders, product, and sales teams.
- Drive Innovation: Foster a culture of experimentation—explore AI breakthroughs, automation tech, and smarter ways to solve restaurant challenges.
- Build for Scale: Architect resilient systems that grow with us, from early-stage chaos to enterprise reliability.
- AI Agent Architecture: Design and oversee our agent orchestration framework, ensuring scalability and reliability
- Fix What’s Broken: When things go wrong (and they will), you’ll dive deep—debugging, optimizing, and leading the team through tough technical fires.
- Make It Faster & Smarter: Continuously improve performance, uptime, and scalability—because restaurants can’t afford downtime.
Who You Are:
- 10+ years engineering experience with 5+ years leading technical teams
- Technical leadership: Hands-on ability to guide architecture reviews and solve complex agent system challenges
- Startup Hustle: You’ve worked at early-stage companies (our size or smaller) and thrive in fast-paced, unstructured environments.
- Leader, Not Just a Manager: You love mentoring engineers, but you’re still hands-on—no ivory tower leadership here.
- Scaler Mindset: You’ve helped grow teams from 5 → 30+ engineers and systems from prototype to production. Grew engineering teams and systems through hypergrowth phases
- AI/ML or Automation Experience (Bonus): You’ve worked on AI agents, automation, or high-scale distributed systems.
