Description and Requirements
MetLife established Hyderabad Site in 2019 for building knowledge & technology capabilities including Data and Analytics. These capabilities are part of Corporate Functions at Global Operations Support Center (GOSC), India. This role a. drives strategic initiatives and programs b. provides supervision for operations for Corporate Functions at Hyderabad Site. Needs to drive portfolio expansion and portfolio integration. Additionally, support strategic and tactical objectives in support of portfolio expansion and integration. Work as per MetLife Global Operations Support Center's (GOSC) policies and procedures. Provide an effective liaison among business departments and functions.

  • Hyderabad Site Ops Supervision role: Scale GOSC Hyderabad site operations. The individual works with stakeholders across MetLife GOSC centers (Hyderabad, Noida and Jaipur) to ensure alignment on GOSC strategic priorities, seek/provide inputs for running Hyderabad site- monthly status reports, quarterly site reviews and steering committee reviews to be presented to GOSC Sr. Management
  • Lead periodic or need basis discussions and reviews with enabling functions such as HR/talent acquisition and engagement, finance, facilities, governance, legal, risk and IT to ensure progress against portfolio expansion/integration. This position will act as a liaison between GOSC Hyderabad site, enabling functions within GOSC and other points of contact at GOSC Jaipur and Noida centers.
  • The role provides an opportunity to demonstrate strategic thinking, agility/operational execution and management skills, negotiation, verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills and stakeholder alignment skills

  • Job Responsibilities
    Hyderabad Site Ops Supervision Role:

    • Ensure processes (involving operations) at Hyderabad are institutionalized in a manner consistent with processes @ GOSC Corporate Functions, GOSC Jaipur and Noida sites
      • Perform value added analyses to generate information and improve processes
      • Develop efficient and effective reporting processes
      • Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures, external regulations and information security standards
      • Ensure operational practices at Hyderabad are consistent with those at Jaipur and Noida
      • Provide supervision to partner/stakeholder visits
    • Lead data and analytics capability collateral building efforts case, capability mapping catalogues
    • Work with CF- S&S team, GOSC Hyderabad leadership team to contribute & drive consolidating artefacts such as status reports, site updates, capability show cases, case studies across multiple functional/geographical teams
    • As the Ops representative of Hyderabad site- lead capability collaboration and integration efforts across capabilities such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, digital automation, robotic process automation etc
    • Accountable for planning, tracking, enabling execution & communicating progress against key focus areas of GOSC Hyderabad - Capability building & expansion, senior management reporting; follow-ups/alignment with partners across various functions at GOSC
    • GOSC Hyderabad Site MBR (Quarterly) chaired by GOSC CF leader
    • Effectively manage research/resolution/follow-ups for closure of open items.


    Identify 'white spaces'/opportunities to improve productivity, to positively energize the ecosystem
    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    Education & professional certifications

    • Bachelors in any discipline from leading/recognized institutes
    • PMP/Prince2, Scrum / Agile, SAFe project management certification
    • Proficient in MS Office suite: Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
    • Niche technology capabilities/Data and Analytics/Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning certifications/courses


    Experience
    • 15-20+ years of experience in operations and project management in large enterprises with operations across countries/different time zones/matrix structures; PMO Support, Consulting, Business Process/Techology Off-shoring, Financial Institutions, Insurance industry Experience on PMO Support & Project Management will be mandatory
    • Knowledge/experience of running operations for 'Data and Analytics'/Nice technology capabilities.
    • Should have 12+ years of customer management experience (pref US)

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, leadership skills, consulting & problem-solving skills, logical, critical reasoning and analytical skills, entrepreneurial traits /self-starter, interpersonal skills, negotiation skills, story telling and presentation skills
    • Good hands-on experience on MS office
    • Ability to lead and work in a cross-cultural environment
    • Proven ability to collaborate with other areas, including IT, Governance, Training, etc.
    • Excellent ability to interpret data and generate business insights to provide support or develop recommendations.
    • Excellent ability to own the outcome - present findings to senior stakeholders, support execution of business plans
    • Excellent understanding of strategy and business transformation frameworks and methods
    • Exposure/passion for business applications of niche technologies, Data & analytics, Machin learning, Artificial intelligence, Generative AI
    • Ability to continuously learn new methods and best practices
