The Impact You’ll Make in this Role 

The Document Management Developer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining document management systems to facilitate the efficient handling, storage, and retrieval of documents within the organization. This role requires a strong understanding of document management technologies, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

As a Document Management Developer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Develop and implement document management systems that meet the needs of the organization, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and processes.
  • Responsible for determining operational feasibility of solution designs by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
  • Developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code.
  • Optimize document storage solutions to ensure efficient retrieval and archiving documents.
  • Conduct regular audits and checks to ensure the integrity and accuracy of document management processes.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for document management systems, addressing any issues that may arise.
  • Develop training materials and provide training sessions for users on document management practices and systems.
  • Ensure all document management practices comply with regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.
  • Studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment, and by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.

Your Skills and Expertise 
 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Strong experience with OpenText Intelligent Document Processing and CoreFax software; additionally experience in Unix scripting, java and/or dot net development
  • Knowledge and understanding of DocuSign
  • Experience with test driven development
  • Experience with relational databases (SQLServer, Oracle). Store Procedure is a plus.
  • Experience with Eclipse environment, Java Language and object-oriented programming. Visual Studio and C# are a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project, MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Understand all aspects of software development lifecycle.
  • Understand various SDLC methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall etc).
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following areas:
    • UI/UX Design and Development.
    • EAI / API integration using tools like MuleSoft and/or Oracle Fusion Middleware.
    • PL/SQL, Data Analysis and Engineering.
    • Cloud (AWS/Azure), SaaS / PaaS Support and Engineering, CI/CD.
  • Strong self-learning ability and desire to continuously improve skills. Enthusiastic about learning new technologies and methodologies.
  • Focused on achieving goals and delivering results.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to interact with users and stakeholders effectively.

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business or related field (completed and verified prior to start).
  • 5 years' experience as an applications developer in private, public, government or military environments – (large and small projects).
  • 2+ years’ experience with IBM FileNet; OpenText IDP and CoreFax solutions
  • Excellent communication skills are essential for collaborating with business partners
